Steel Sleeve

A steel sleeve for a rolling mill is a cylindrical component used in the rolling process of metalworking. It plays a crucial role in reducing the thickness of metal sheets or bars as they pass through the rolling mill. The sleeve is designed to be mounted on the mandrel or spindle of the rolling mill and is subjected to high pressures, temperatures, and mechanical forces during the metal deformation process.

Products  Materials

1. Carbon steel
Carbon steel is one of the commonly used steel casing materials. It is widely used because of its good mechanical properties and good processability. Carbon steel has high strength, high hardness, is not easy to deform and wear, and has a relatively low price. However, carbon steel is susceptible to corrosion, has a short service life, and requires regular maintenance.

2. Alloy steel
Alloy steel is made by adding alloy elements to carbon steel and has good corrosion resistance and heat resistance. Alloy steel has higher strength and toughness than carbon steel and has good wear resistance. However, alloy steel is expensive and difficult to process.

3. Stainless steel
Stainless steel casing is mainly used in places where material surface accuracy is required. Because stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance, it is widely used in chemical, medical, food and other fields. Stainless steel casing is expensive and the processing difficulty is correspondingly greater.

4. Other materials
In addition to the above three common materials, there are also some special steel casings, such as cast iron, copper, aluminum, titanium, etc. These steel casings have their unique application advantages in specific scenarios, but the price is relatively high and the scope of use is relatively limited.
